My Journey into UX Design
I've been a designer for over twelve years and my journey to UX Design isn't a straightforward one. I started working on UI/UX in Expotrade in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. I managed all event websites for 27 massive executive level conferences that partnered with the government of Dubai. It was an interesting time because I helped push smart city initiatives.
After moving to Canada, I joined Uberflip learning about how to target outcomes on our marketing launches, event mobile app, and event experience. The whole team rallied around the idea of "content experience" where content is a big driver in business. Eventually I focused more on data visualization, and got myself an associates degree for UX while working with ioAirFlow. I then began my independent design consultancy job as I gained more experience. I worked for Checkfront, a company based in Victoria. While I was there, I helped Checkfront build a better booking experience catering to 18,000 businesses who want to give their own customers an experience to remember that generate over $5B in booking volume. As an independent design consultant, I've worked with companies mostly within the North America region. Since I have more than twelve years of design experience, I'm well versed in a multitude of disciplines. I have recently incorporated generative AI as part of my skills, since it speeds up my design process. My background in events, visual design, accessibility, data visualization, and UX makes me a highly adaptable and key participant in elevating any brand. Because the landscape is ever changing and I'm curious by nature, I'm constantly looking for areas that I could tap into and learn. If you want to work with me, please do not hesitate to send me a message on [email protected] or connect with me on LinkedIn. |
These are the list of projects I made with different clients or companies I've worked with or currently work with. Some of them are personal projects too (most of my artworks are).
